Dr. Chavez believes thoughts create and moderate emotions, which then manifests behaviors and actions. His approach is to assist clients change their thoughts, which will then lead to their ability to change their emotions and actions.

Career Path:

 

Gerald started his career as a Kung Fu instructor at Memorial Hospital for teens and adults. This led him to pursue his first professional counseling degree. He began his career at Indian Health Services. He returned to school in 2005 and received his Doctorate in Psychology in 2008 and became a part of the APP team in 2008. 

Populations:

Adolescents to seniors.

Personal Interests:

Martial Arts, Music, Reading, Carpentry and Horseback riding.
